Happy Birthday Evan!

Here's our big boy on his actual birthday. We can't believe you are already 1!

Ocracoke!

We took a ferry to Ocracoke Island and played on the beach.

Andrew and Dominic caught a crab!

We liked it so much, we took our cars on the ferry on the last day.

Our GPS didn't know where we were!

The Millers are brave and went kayaking.

We went to a beach were they let you drive on the sand. Looks like a Pathfinder commercial!
Evan is still not sure about the ocean and/or sand.
Wes LOVED the waves!
Bye-bye North Carolina! We had a great family vacation!

Lots of Quality Cousin Time

Tommy and Pooh eating Fruit Loops

Dominic and Natalie
Being silly!

At the playground
Evan wasn't so sure about the sand..

Natalie didn't like it either

Pool Party

One of the best things about the Salty Dog (our rental house) was that it had its own pool! Wes and Evan were little fish all week!

Best/Worst Photo Shoot Ever

This is our attempt at getting a picture of all 7 grandkids (ages 10, 7, 4, 2, 2, 1, and 7 months)

Our verdict....IMPOSSIBLE!

Kitty Hawk

We also went to Kitty Hawk with Grandpa and Grandma, and got to see where the very first powered flight took place.
Here's where the first flight started.

Wes and Mommy reenacting the first flight.

There's also a memorial to Wilbur and Orville Wright.

Cape Hatteras Lighthouse

We finally made it to Hatteras Island, and our first stop was the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. It's the tallest brick lighthouse in the world! The Millers at the top
Us at the top. Wes and Evan stayed with Grandma and Grandpa
Muckians

Grandma and Grandpa

Ready for action

We had lots of fun playing at the Muckians!

Thomas Town!

In July, we took our big family road trip. Our final destination was Hatteras Island, NC, but on the way, we stopped in DC to meet the Muckians. And where do you go if you are in DC? Thomas Town, of course! We headed straight to Six Flags America!
Let's just say we were very familiar with the Harold ride before the day was done!

So were Ben and Tommy!

Bertie the Bus ride!

Evan and Percy

Ben was the only little kid big enough to ride Cranky the Crane, and he loved it!

So high!
Ben was also excited to meet Sir Topham Hat!

Wes and Tommy having a snack.

Aunt Staci and Ben went on Cranky again!

Wes of course loved the splash park part!

Natalie was such a good girl!

There was another kids area at Six Flags, so Wes and Ben went on a bunch of those rides too.

And we finished the day with ice cream!
